Sentiment - originally titled sanctuary for one, developing from the pieces ‘Self-Identity’ and ‘Introspective Identity’. This piece is the latest short film I have created. It is my exploration as myself as the artist, conceptually and mentally.

Submerged was an expression of my current self in 2021, like my previous works throughout the year, I have continued to express, explore, and develop my skills within film making. I wanted to explore another film with a narrative, but as the work developed and I continued to experiment and explore myself I found that the piece was better without any dialog in audio or text form. The piece was originally intended to be an exploration of myself in various tones of how I view myself but due to some events over this past year and my own mental state the short film piece became a visual extension of myself that I cannot express with words or emotions...

2020|MMXX - a Poem about the year, 1920x1080 short film (Duration 3:22), captured in 1080p, 2020 - Public instillation, Test, Reading Train station, Berkshire

This poetic piece was based upon the current affairs of the whole year of 2020 and my own personal opinions and approach to how it was being portrayed within media and to a factual historical record of events. This work is heavily inspired by an internet trope that was floating around at the time of "It's still March!". With the UK lockdown begging in March, people lost a sense of time with the continued effect of being indoors and limited to certain events and activities. Weeks and days began to merge, and people lost themselves in the continued effects of the same repeated routine and environment.  A continuous march...

This short film is an artwork that is split between three pieces, Two video pieces and an "digital recreation/representation" of the accompanying performance. The performance was a later addition as I wanted to work on a connected theme between my inspiration and my short film. The inspiration for my piece was the work of Hito Steyerl, an artist who has been an inspiration towards most of my work thus far. Her film How Not to be Seen: A Fucking Didactic Educational inspired me to practice working more within film through the use of Chroma keying and greenscreen effects within art...

Pigeons over Paradise Square is a collective exhibition recounting and reflecting on St Ebbes. A original local area within Oxford, that consisted of worker houses and cottages, local farmer markets and auctions, and to the original history of oxford was consisted a slummed area, which then resulted in a mass migration of local residents to make way for the 'back then' now modern oxford. The original St Ebbes was lost to time and now only recounted by the street address which the MAO locates itself on.
